Positive Childhood Dental Experiences

Pediatric Dentist

We believe that even the youngest child can and will have a great experience in our office! To help children become accustomed to the dental experience Dr. Sullivan loves to have them watch their parents or older siblings have their teeth cleaned. This way they are able to become familiar with the friendly, relaxed atmosphere of our office surroundings and staff. Dr. Sullivan recommends that children become “official” patients with us by the age of three. He also encourages parents to stay in the treatment rooms for all procedures, because many children (and parents, too!) feel more at ease when they do.

We have televisions in all of our treatment rooms to keep our young patients relaxed and entertained throughout their visits. Watching their favorite TV show or cartoon is a great way to ease them into regular dental cleanings, and it helps us build a trusting relationship.

A Clean & Safe Practice

We go above and beyond the American Dental Association (ADA) and OSHA recommended standards for a clean and safe dental practice. Before your visit, we disinfect all of our equipment in a designated area with state-of-the-art dental sterilization technology. We also sanitize each room between patients—all because your safety and comfort are our top priority. We worry about the cleanliness of our office so you’ll never have to.

For Your Comfort

Because every aspect of your dental experience is important to us, we have a number of amenities to make our office feel more like home. We have flatscreen TVs, headphones, blankets, and pillows in all of our treatment rooms to keep you comfortable and entertained throughout your visit. We also offer WiFi, refreshments, and a treasure chest of prizes for our young patients! You might even forget you’re at the dentist.

Information & Accommodations

We empower you to make smart, educated choices for your oral health and smile enhancements through patient education and individual consultations. We even have an intraoral camera so you can see what we see in your mouth. We also make sure that we are well informed about your medical history, current medications, and any other factor that might affect your dental health and treatment.

Giving Back to the Community

Every other Friday, we work a half-day in which we give back to our community. We accept referrals from the DuPage County Health Department and a program called Donated Dental Services (or DDS). There are also people within our own family of patients who are in need of charitable dental services so we refer these patients to Friday as well. In addition, Dr. Sullivan also volunteers the other half of his Fridays at the DuPage Community Clinic. It is because of this designated volunteer time that Dr. Sullivan has affectionately coined the term, “Freebie Fridays”.

We consider it an honor and privilege to do what we do, and we feel a great responsibility to give back to the community that has given us so much. We truly believe that it is WE who benefit from our patients during these volunteer hours, and we always look forward to them.
